The Saratoga Builders Association, Inc. will be awarding a $1000 scholarship in 2012, according to a Jan. 17 press release. The organization makes this scholarship available annually to high school seniors who are planning to pursue a construction industry education.
The scholarship award is open to any high school senior in Saratoga County who is planning to pursue construction education at a 2- or 4-year accredited college or university, or to students who would like to purchase tools for employment in construction. Each applicant must also submit a high school transcript or list of construction classes taken and a short essay (less than 500 words) describing why they are interested in a construction industry career and what events led to this decision.
