Quilt exhibit at Brookside Museum

“The Threads of Time” exhibition featuring quilts in the museum’s collection is open to the public.

“Quilts are amazing pieces of history,” said Joy Houle, Brookside’s Executive Director. “They are unique since they are both practical household items and works of art that tell stories about the women who made them.” The exhibit showcases both the quilts and the stories they tell.

Funded by the New York Council on Humanities and the Coby Foundation, the exhibit will be open thru January, 2012, during normal museum operating hours.

The Saratoga County Historical Society at Brookside is a non-profit organization located at 6 Charlton Street in Ballston Spa that inspires community memory by telling the story of Saratoga County through engaging exhibits and interactive programs. Brookside’s programs and services are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. For more information, visit
